The SIF governance document sets out the regulation, governance and administration of the SIF. Version 1 of this document was published on 25 August 2021. An updated version 2 was published on 23 September 2022. In February 2023, we published version 2.1, alongside the Electricity Distribution licence modifications for the start of RIIO-ED2. We are now publishing version 3.1. The SIF is delivered in partnership with Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). Our objective for the SIF is to accelerate the UK's transition to net zero at lowest cost to the consumer and make the UK the best country for energy business to grow and scale.
