Details of outcome We consulted on our assessment of National Grid Electricity Transmission’s (NGET’s) new Electricity Transmission Control Centre (ETCC) project under the Non-Operational Information Technology Capex Re-opener between 11 December 2025 and 22 January 2026. Following our review of the responses, we are now publishing our Final Determinations and associated direction to implement this decision. In November 2023, we issued a non-public consultation on National Grid Electricity Transmission’s (NGET’s) new Electricity Transmission Control Centre (ETCC) project, which outlined our initial, informal assessment on the needs case and optioneering. At the time, the ETCC’s details and location were not in the public domain, therefore, we did not publicly consult. In January 2025, NGET submitted its full ETCC project application, including updated costs. We are now consulting on our draft determinations and draft direction for this application. This is a public consultation given ETCC details and location are now in the public domain. Who should respond We would like views from people with an interest in electricity transmission and electricity distribution. We would also welcome responses from other stakeholders and the public.
