Consultation description We are seeking feedback on our draft template code text for the new modification process. We want your views to make sure it is clear, workable and aligns with the wider aims of energy code reform. Feedback from our second consultation on the implementation of energy code reform broadly supported our proposals. People who responded also agreed on the need to modernise the current complex and fragmented code governance framework. The feedback received has helped refine the detailed design of the new arrangements. Get details by reading our code manager selection guidance. We now want your views on the draft template code text and our stakeholder advisory forum arrangements. Who should respond We want to hear views and feedback from anyone who has an interest in energy code reform, as well as people who work in the energy sectors and the public. This includes: Code administrators Code parties Central system delivery bodies Consumer groups How to respond You can tell us your views about how we should implement code governance reform by answering the questions in the code text consultation document. A response form is provided with the consultation. Submit your response by 17 April 2026 by emailing industrycodes@ofgem.gov.uk . Expression of interest for code consolidation workgroup We have also issued a call for expressions of interest to join the code consolidation workgroup (CCW) for phase 2 alongside this decision document, which are planned to begin later this summer. We are seeking participation from any person who is interested in helping us develop the modifications required to create a consolidated electricity commercial code or a consolidated gas network code. If you would like to express interest in participating in the CCW, please review the draft terms of reference found below and then let us know by emailing industrycodes@ofgem.gov.uk by 17 April 2026.
