Close alert: Modifying the special conditions of the gas transporter licence: statutory consultation Publication type: Consultation Publication date: 28 November 2024 Closed date: 18 January 2025 Status: Closed (with decision) Topic: Gas distribution Print this page Share the page Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn We are consulting on a proposed licence change to Special Condition 9.13 of the gas transporter licence. Who should respond? We are keen to hear from stakeholders involved or with an interest in gas transmission and gas distribution. Background The proposal is to reallocate baseline entry capacity across the National Transmission System. This will support and enhance gas storage capacity and GB security of supply, which will benefit consumers. Why are your views important? We welcome representations on our proposed modifications to the licence and its impact on security of supply. Following the consultation, a decision will be taken on modifying the licence in 2025. Your views will help inform that decision. How to respond The statutory consultation on Special Condition 9.13 of the Gas Transporter licence is based on an interested party suggesting that commercial capacity is urgently needed at the Teesside Aggregate System Entry Point (ASEP). Due to interest from stakeholders, we are extending the deadline on this element of the consultation. The consultation has 2 different deadlines for responses: 3 January 2025 proposal to reallocate a proportion of baseline entry capacity from the Easington NTS Entry Point to the Rough NTS Entry Point proposal to add 3 new Exit points to the baseline exit table 17 January 2025 Teesside Aggregate System Entry Point (ASEP) proposal Please send your responses to gas.systems@ofgem.gov.uk .
