The proposal outlines a further set of activities required to transition into the new Connections Reform process, if approved, and take effect from 29 January 2025, consisting of three elements: Modifying the existing transitional offer process to apply only to new directly connected demand projects, until 21 March 2025 A “pause” in responding to all other applications An exceptions process to the pause to continue issuing firm offers for modification applications as specified in the request. The distribution application process will remain open as currently, although projects will not be sent to NESO for assessment after 29 January 2025. Ofgem’s decision letter sets out the justification for our decision, focusing on customer clarity and maximising the benefits associated with the prospective implementation of the TMO4+ Connections Reform, if approved.
