We consulted in August 2024 on the future of the Gas Transporters traditional metering licence conditions. This included the extension of these obligations to December 2025 and views from stakeholders on the future of these licence conditions post 2025. Following responses from stakeholders we have set out our proposal and reasoning behind this to extend these licence conditions to 31 December 2025. We acknowledge the need for further engagement with stakeholders following feedback on some of our proposals and to take in to account post 2025 smart metering policy. In this document we are also consulting on the proposed modification to the Special and Standard Special licence conditions for Gas Transporters held by National Gas Transmission Plc and the Gas Distribution Network Operators. Along side this consultation is a notice with the proposed draft licence condition changes on which we are seeking stakeholders’ views. We are proposing to extend the current end date of the “Sunset Conditions” to 31 December 2025.
