Feed-in Tariff

Launched in April 2010 for small-scale generation up to 5 MW. The initial tariff for sub-4kW solar was 41.3p/kWh, guaranteed for 25 years. Over 870,000 installations were accredited before the scheme closed in March 2019. Tariffs fell over 90% through quarterly degression. Replaced by the Smart Export Guarantee.
