CfD Stakeholder Bulletin — 11 October 2019

DESNZ·notice·low·11 Oct 2019·source document

Summary

BEIS corrected minor calculation errors in CfD Allocation Round 3 budget impact tables, underestimating negative impacts for 2025/26 and 2026/27. The department also corrected price base years from 2011/12 to 2012 in tables B, C, and D. These revisions do not affect any other published results from the allocation round.

Why it matters

Administrative correction with no operational impact — the projects selected and their strike prices remain unchanged, as such this represents housekeeping rather than policy adjustment.

Contracts for Difference: Stakeholder Bulletin 11 October 2019 Allocation Round 3 Results Table – Minor correction to Table B Today, the Department for Business, Energy & Industry Strategy has published a correction to Table B (Estimated notional Monetary Budget impact) in the Contracts for Difference Allocation Round 3: Results document. This is due to a minor administrative error in the calculations where the figures for 2025/26 and 2026/27 underestimated the negative notional budgetary impact. In addition prices for tables B, C and D were previously described as 2011/12 prices – this has now been corrected to say 2012 prices. These revisons have no impact on any of the rest of the published results figures. The revised figures have been published here on gov.uk.
