The Authority will explore options to update and improve eligibility rules, including eligible fuel types, sustainability criteria requirements, the applicable greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions saving threshold and fossil fuel comparator, and how emissions savings from SAF should be recognised, considering interaction with the UK SAF Mandate. The consultation is aimed at anyone with an interest in aviation, fuel supply, and envrionmental policy in the UK ETS, especially organisations who interact with the UK ETS.
