Close alert: Getlink Projects 2 Limited: notice of grant of an electricity interconnector licence Publication type: Licence granted Publication date: 1 May 2025 Topic: Electricity interconnectors Print this page Share the page Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Notice under Section 6A(5) of the Electricity ACT 1989 of the grant of an electricity interconnector licence Pursuant to section 6A(5) of the Electricity Act 1989 (“the Act”), the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (“the Authority”) hereby gives notice that on (Insert licence issued date) an electricity interconnector licence was granted under section 6(1)(e) of the Act to Getlink Projects 2 Limited (company number 15001715) whose registered office is situated at 4, Kingdom Street, London, W2 6BD United Kingdom authorising it to participate in the operation of the ElecLink 2 an electricity interconnector between East Kent Node B, Ordnance Survey Grid Reference Coordianates:TR113654 in the United Kingdom and new substation Port of Dunkirk,Bourbourg Latitude and longitude Cordinates: 50.948486,2.157172 in France. Note: An electricity interconnector licence authorises a person to operate an electricity interconnector. It is not an authorisation to construct the interconnector. Construction of the interconnector is subject to separate planning processes including the obtaining of any consents or permits required from relevant authorities, including the relevant planning authority. Further, it is not an authorisation to operate the interconnector under any specific regime (i.e. merchant-exempt route or the cap and floor regime).
